Discovering The Prophets

This workbook has two primary objectives. The first is to introduce the students to the prophets. Ordinarily teenagers spend very little time, if any at all, in this part of the Bible. We would like for them to go away from this class with a basic idea of what the prophets are all about. We want them to see the value in studying the prophets and the relevance of this part of the Bible to their lives.

Our second objective is to introduce students to biblical research. We want them to learn how to study the prophets, as well as other parts of the Bible, for themselves. We want to give them some experience wrestling with difficult passages and learning how to find their meaning. We want them to learn how to use basic research tools (i. e. Bible dictionaries, commentaries, etc.).
