The Christ, The Cross, and The Church (Revised)
The Christ, the Cross, and the Church, by Larry Ray Hafley, is a collection of some of the finest articles written by Larry Hafley. Like the preaching of Paul, these articles proclaim "Jesus Christ, and him crucified," and the divine plan to reconcile all men "unto God in one body by the cross" (1 Cor. 2:2; Eph. 2:16). These articles do not exalt the eloquence of Larry Hafley, rather they proclaim the preeminence of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the world. "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake" (2 Cor. 4:5). As the servant of Christ, Larry’s first concern is complete fidelity to the truth of the gospel in what he teaches us. As our servant, his focus is on teaching us the gospel of Christ in its original purity and simplicity as "the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth" (Rom. 1:16). His writing is clear, concise, and true to God’s Book.
